Silverlens is thrilled to announce its participation in Art Basel Hong Kong for the 12th year from 26 to 30 March 2024, featuring a wide breadth of the gallery’s program from its Manila and New York City locations.

Two everyday objects form the focal point of 'Membranes,' the solo exhibition by Filipino artist Nicole Coson: Styrofoam mesh fruit casing and standard plastic shipping crates. Both ubiquitous in the global food supply chain, they speak to the vast journeys that perishable goods undergo before eventual consumption—even those typically perceived as “local” or “native.”

Silverlens Manila is pleased to announce Reflections, in situ, a duo presentation by father and daughter, Jon and Hanna Pettyjohn, featuring collaborative sculptures alongside individual works by each artist, opening 20 March 2025.

Silverlens New York is pleased to present Catalina Africa: Earth Body Bukid, her first solo exhibition in the US, opening March 6, 2025. For Earth Body Bukid, Africa draws on landscape magic and nature energies from the West Pacific Coast of Baler, known for both its reputation as a surfer’s paradise and location within the Philippines’ “typhoon belt.” Across a shapeshifting practice in painting, sound, sculpture, video, text, and performance, Africa calls upon the natural landscape.

Silverlens New York is pleased to present Pow Martinez: Junk DNA, opening March 6, 2025. For the artist’s first solo presentation in New York, Martinez probes and satirizes the idea of the “American Medieval” with large-scale narrative paintings and intimate portraits featuring his recurring cast of expressionistic and cartoonish characters. Anchored by a large salon-style wall of all-new works, Junk DNA reads like a storybook—or even a family photo album—albeit one that is filled with mutant-like figures and a dystopian sense of desolation.
