Catalina Africa
Earth Body Bukid
Silverlens, New York
Silverlens New York is pleased to present Catalina Africa: Earth Body Bukid, her first solo exhibition in the US, opening March 6, 2025. For Earth Body Bukid, Africa draws on landscape magic and nature energies from the West Pacific Coast of Baler, known for both its reputation as a surfer’s paradise and location within the Philippines’ “typhoon belt.” Across a shapeshifting practice in painting, sound, sculpture, video, text, and performance, Africa calls upon the natural landscape.

Pow Martinez
Junk DNA
Silverlens, New York
Silverlens New York is pleased to present Pow Martinez: Junk DNA, opening March 6, 2025. For the artist’s first solo presentation in New York, Martinez probes and satirizes the idea of the “American Medieval” with large-scale narrative paintings and intimate portraits featuring his recurring cast of expressionistic and cartoonish characters. Anchored by a large salon-style wall of all-new works, Junk DNA reads like a storybook—or even a family photo album—albeit one that is filled with mutant-like figures and a dystopian sense of desolation.

Robert Langenegger
Visionary Position
Silverlens, Manila
To live in Robert Langenegger’s speculative world of paintings is to live in elegy and anomaly. These are lost, abandoned, and depleted worlds—but no corrective is being done here, as they ultimately show the vast possibilities of their continued yet fatal existence.

No Winter Lasts Forever
Silverlens, Manila
'Norberto Roldan: No Winter Lasts Forever' details the Filipino artist's transformative experience in Berlin during 2024. It highlights his exploration of themes like history, religion, and everyday life, influenced by the melancholic European winter. Inspired by flea markets, Roldan created a new body of artworks by reimagining discarded objects and photographs, reminiscent of his long-standing artistic process.
