Entangled Pairs

Silverlens is pleased to present 'Renato Orara: Entangled Pairs,' a major cross-continental exhibition of the artist's work, staged simultaneously across Silverlens' Manila and New York galleries. 'Entangled Pairs' consists of 100 lifelike ballpoint pen drawings of everyday objects: a glove and a plastic water bottle; a teapot and a hammer; a tomato and a butternut squash. These consecutively-made renderings are paired and split from their counterparts across two continents.

To kick off its 2025 Manila exhibitions, Silverlens announces 'Points and Endings,' Keka Enriquez’s first solo exhibition in Manila since 2008, opening 9 January 2025. To mark her highly anticipated return, she will show a selection of work from the 1980s, made in Manila, to the present, made in her home city for the last 20 years, San Francisco.

2024 Turner Prize Exhibition

One of four artists shortlisted for the prestigious 2024 Turner Prize, Pio Abad’s (b. 1983, Manila, Philippines; lives and works in London, England) art explores cultural loss and colonial histories, often reflecting on his upbringing in the Philippines. Featuring drawings, etchings and sculptures that depict and transform artifacts from Oxford museums, Abad highlights their overlooked histories and connections to everyday household items. He was nominated for his solo exhibition 'To Those Sitting in Darkness' at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.
